I recently completed a 3D recreation of the Glock G17 Standard as part of my hard-surface study.
The project began with extensive reference gathering, as there are multiple variants of the Glock 17 with subtle design differences. I carefully selected the most consistent and accurate references before moving into the blockout stage in Blender.
From there, I followed a complete game-ready pipeline—refining the model, optimizing geometry, creating textures, and producing the final render. One of the key challenges was achieving accurate proportions and capturing fine details as close to the real-world reference as possible.
This project helped strengthen my focus on precision, attention to detail, and maintaining a clean, efficient workflow throughout the pipeline.
